Inter Milan go back to Real Madrid for Beckham

30 10 2006

Inter Milan are ready to go back to Real Madrid again in the coming months.

After landing Luis Figo, Santiago Solari and Esteban Cambiasso, Inter chiefs are now targeting Real’s unsettled midfielder David Beckham.

Beckham, 32, has been a long-term target for Inter patron Massimo Moratti, who has been following the ex-England captain’s contract saga with keen interest.

Tuttosport says Moratti is ready to join the battle for Becks and is counting on Milan’s standing in the fashion world to convince the midfielder and wife Victoria to choose Inter over offers arriving from England, Japan and the United States.

OMG these guys are pissin me off. They took 3 of our best players and now they want Becks…the way i c it Becks would not even consider Italy or any other countries unless english or spanish is in it….remember he has kids and they will be english men not italian

Beckham rubbishes quit rumours

30 10 2006

David Beckham has rubbished speculation that he will quit Real Madrid for the Premiership in January.

Beckham, 31, is yet to sign a new contract with the Spanish giants and has only started three games this season after falling behind new signings Emerson, Mahamadou Diarra and Jose Antonio Reyes in the pecking order.

All of that has added fuel to rumours that he could move to Tottenham Hotspur, or even to American club New York Red Bulls.

But the former England captain said: “My future is here, my life is here. I’m not going to be talking to any teams — I’m not going anywhere in January.

“The contract talks have been ongoing,” the former England captain said. “They started up again two or three weeks ago and there will be another meeting in the next week.”

“It’s not about the money for me,” Beckham said. “I want to stay with this team because I think we can win something this year.”

Beckham has unfinished business at Real, having failed to win any silverware since joining the club for 37.4 million Euros (£25 million) from Manchester United in July 2003.

And he insisted that despite not being a regular since Fabio Capello became manager in the summer, he is prepared to wait for his chance in the first team.

“When I get my chance, I’ll have to take it. If I take it, I’ll stay in the team. Of course I want to play.”

Finally some reassurance that becks will stay but i would recommend man u if he would leave and the hell with ferguson

Real Madrid target £30M Liverpool skipper Gerrard

30 10 2006
Real Madrid are reviving their bid for Liverpool captain Steven Gerrard. The Spanish giants tried for Gerrard under the charge of former president Florentino Perez and are to try again in the summer with current supremo Ramon Calderon putting together a lucrative financial package for the midfielder. The Daily Star Sunday says Real are willing to offer £30 million for Gerrard, who sports director Pedja Mijatovic sees as a better option alongside Mahamadou Diarra in midfield than Emerson.

Despite this being a rumor i would love Gerrard to be in Real Madrid seeing most english players succeed in Real Madrid like Laurie Cunningham, Steve McManaman, Michael Owen, David Beckham so y not Stevie G :D? oo ya and dont 4get both owen and mcmanaman were bought from liverpool keep that in mind.

Middle Eastern offers flood in for Real Madrid trio

30 10 2006
Middle Eastern clubs have tabled mega offers for three of Real Madrid’s senior players. DiarioSport says clubs from Qatar and the UAE have tabled contract offers in recent weeks for Ronaldo, Roberto Carlos and Michel Salgado. All three players were offered deals far superior to what they are now on at Real.

Sometimes i feel embarassed that I am arab mainly cause of these stupid clubs and what they do….i mean they get Denilson, Hierro, Karimi but these 3?? No way in hell are they gonna go to the middle east (maybe Ronaldo but anything can happen in football)

Cannavaro wants Napoli swansong

30 10 2006
Real Madrid defender Fabio Cannavaro admits he plans to finish his career at Napoli.

“At the age of 33 I didn’t feel like ending my career in Serie B with a heavy points penalty. I couldn’t say no to that offer from Real Madrid,” he told Max magazine.

“My ultimate dream is to finish off my playing years with my brother Paolo at Napoli, forging a family central defensive partnership.”

Primera Liga Preview: Gimnàstic – Real Madrid

28 10 2006

Gimnàstic de Tarragona (19th) v Real Madrid (4th)
When: 22:00 (CET), Saturday, October 28, 2006
Where: Nou Estadi, Tarragona

Two worlds collide on Saturday evening when the star-laden, multi-millionairres of Real Madrid visit Tarragona to play Gimnàstic Club who are enjoying their first season in the top flight for over half a century on a shoestring budget.

Prevention Scheme

Despite their wealth and strength though, Madrid have shown a lack of compassion as they are prepared to prevent one of the Catalan club’s key players from facing them. During the summer break, Fabio Capello spent big, really big, to bring in players that it is believed will lift the club back to the top and another campaign without a trophy will be considered a disaster.Madrid’s hosts for this encounter had to make sudden and dramatic changes to their usual off-season planning after the team exceeded all expectations last term and garnered a place in the top tier with a dramatic post-Christmas run of form.Such are the luxurious choices facing Capello, however, that the Italian could afford to off-load a player that promised to follow in the footsteps of Raúl as he made his way through the youth ranks at the Bernabéu. Javier Portillo was widely tipped to break into the Madrid first team and then stay there, but instead he was rarely given the chance of a run in the side to gain confidence and was instead shipped out on loan. After temporary stints at Fiorentina and Club Brugge, the 24-year-old striker opted to join Nàstic on a permanent basis during the summer and he is revelling at the Catalan club. Madrid, though, have ensured that their former player will not be able to prove anything to them by inserting a clause in his contract that has seen his chances of playing wiped out.

Basically there is this clause in his contract that says if the club wants Portillo to play against Madrid you have to pay 700,000 euros. Why you may ask lemme tell u nightmares that we had….Racing Santandar MUNITIS :S, but the worst of them all…..MORIENTES kicked us out of the fuckin CL. So Madrid dont want to repeat that mistake especially from a team that just had its debut in first division football.

TEAM NEWS
Gimnàstic: Without Portillo, the home side will have to find a new partner for Ariza Makukula up front. The most likely candidate is 35-year-old Antonio Pinilla, who has yet to complete a game during his four appearances so far this season.

Real Madrid: After resting several players for the cup game in midweek, Capello should have the majority of his squad back for this encounter. Sergio Ramos and Iván Helguera worked in the gym earlier in the week, along with Beckham and Cannavaro, but all four should be ready. José Antonio Reyes and Raúl have also been given the green light after shaking off slight knocks.

Real Madrid’s Reyes: Nothing personal with Beckham

11 10 2006
Real Madrid Jose Reyes insists there’s no personal rivalry between him and David Beckham.

Asked whether a new contract for Beckham could impact on his progress at Real, Reyes said: “I do not believe that we have anything to do with one another.

He is doing very well in training.” Reyes also remarked: “Barcelona is on the horizon, but we’d be crazy to be focusing on that game now with Getafe still to be played.

“But I believe our game against Barcelona will be much more even than in previous years. I hope it is a good one for me.”

Why would they think Becks and Reyes would fight? ooh sure they are fighting for the position but not personally in which the press is thinking..its very stupid and they should stfu
